Ceiling light fitting in Bolton for pendants, flush lights, spotlight bars and chandeliers. ANR Electrics fits your new light securely, connects it safely and checks the wiring as part of the job.
A heavy light cannot hang from a standard ceiling rose alone. It needs a strong fixing into a ceiling joist or a support fitted between joists. We check the weight of your fitting and the ceiling above before we start, so the light stays firmly in place for years.
More Information
Many metal light fittings need an earth connection to be safe. Some older lighting circuits were wired without an earth. If a metal fitting goes on one of these circuits and a fault happens, the metal could become live. We check for an earth and advise you if one is missing.
If you want a ceiling light in a room that only has lamps, or a second light in a long room, we can add one. We run cable from the lighting circuit, fit a new ceiling rose and wire it to a switch by the door. It saves hunting for lamp switches in the dark.

STILL NOT SURE?
Ceiling light fitting costs depend on the type of light and the work involved. Swapping a pendant for another pendant is quick. A heavy chandelier that needs extra support, or a new light where none existed, takes longer. Tell us what you are fitting and we will price it.
Yes. Most pendant lights have a flex that can be shortened or, in some cases, swapped for a longer one. This is a quick job and is useful over dining tables and kitchen islands. The flex and ceiling rose must be able to carry the weight of the fitting.
It is safest to use one. Ceiling light wiring can be confusing, with several cables joined at the rose. A wrong connection can leave the switch not working or the fitting live when switched off. An electrician also checks for an earth and tests the circuit.
